  1. Mouton Cadet $6.99 at Trader Joe's.  A red French Bordeaux classic.

I am allergic to the awful things like sulfites they put in all other wines to give a longer shelf life.

Do yourself a favor and just drink French; they are cheaper, better, and  highly regulated by the F government to meet strict oversight standards to be called what they are.

  2. Smoking Loon

    Little Penguin

    Yellowtail

    Big Daddy

    Witches Brew

    Autumn Harvest

Cheap Red Wine (can be purchased for $8 at your local organic market)

  3. Robert Mondavi Pinot Noir, Woodbridge, Rabbit Ridge,

Theres alot of great $10 wines out there..

  4. Redwood Creek isn't bad,  No 8 zinfandel is nice.

  5. Unlike some of the aforementioned wines, which may or may not be regularly available or regarded as cheap,

Bogle Merlot or Cab Sauv-you can sometime find this on sale at the local grocery for $5.99-$6.99.  It sells as a house wine at fine steakhouses like The Palm or Morton's for $30-35.

    Beringer Founder's Estate Cab Sauv-usually $8.99-$9.99

  6. I enjoy Italian reds. Two of my favorite are Super Tuscans under $10

    1, Carpineto "Dogajolo"

    2. Monte Antico Toscana Red

  7. I have had a few good wines under $10.

    Barefoot Cabernet Sauvignon

    Barefoot Merlot

    Barefoot Syrah

The best was Chateau St. Julien Cabernet Sauvignon.

  8. This is my favorite source for wine assistance.  I did a search for red wines under $10 and rated 90 or higher (out of a possible 100).  Only 3 came up.  Here's the list:
