I've used the xbox360 brand wireless adapter but I still lagged... is there any other better adapters that you would recommend for me to test?

If it doesn't improve the signal you can return it (if you keep the packaging unbroken).

(But lag may be due to things other than a weak signal.)

  2. Plug it into your laptop, and bridge the connections.

    Or your computer.

If that fails, your router needs changed. Because there is too much "airway" interference.

So you'll need to either change the router, or just bridge connections. But Wired connections are always much smoother than wireless ones.

Well you connect your Xbox 360 to your laptop via Ethernet cable.

You then go into your Network pannel - If your using a windows based OS - and highlight both connections and select - Bridge.

There are a few tutorials on YOUTUBE if that didnt help :)

  3. there are no others. fix your internet. its not the adaptor its weak connection

  4. is your wireless router an 802.11g? cause if its not thats probably your problem with the lag cause its then going to be using 802.11b which is alot slower then g

  5. You can use any wireless bridge to connect the LAN port on the 360 to a wireless network. Check out the below on Google, the Netgear has very good reviews. All of the below will need setup using your laptop before connecting to the 360.

    - Netgear ME101 Wireless Bridge

    - Belkin 802.11g Wireless G Gaming Adapter

    - Linksys Wireless-G Ethernet Bridge

I wouldn't use your laptop as a bridge as there will be latency while the packet is routed especially if the laptop is being used or running firewall software.

If your comfortable doing a little router configuration you could follow the following to make yourself a very powerfull wireless bridge for a bit less than the cost of any of the above devices. I've setup quite a few of these to avoid installing cabling round houses or puchasing expensive HomePlug devices.

    1. Purchase a Buffalo WHR-HP-G54

    2. Install the DDWRT firmware:

    3. Switch DDWRT to wireless client mode:
