Question:

What is the better materials that make up a good boat cover? Another question is, what should I avoid?

I know that there are several places to get boat covers, but I am mostly interested in the material. I would like to get one that protects the boat from the sun, rain, and is long lasting. I live in Southern California just as an FYI and right now, I have a cheapo one from WalMart on it right now and I know that it will probably not last long.

Any suggestions on where the best place to purchase a good boat cover at good prices?

  1. Sunbrella is one of the best out there. It has UV protection and breathes so that you won't have a mildew problem. It is available at just about any place that sells boat canvasses. Note, that a lighter color might keep the build up of heat to a minimum. Good Luck.


  2. Use Sunbrella ,or Stomoid,thats it with gortex thread.Other thread will be the first thing to go on you.  

  3. Sunbrella is the answer to all your troubles.  do ask for goretex thread to sew together, it will be well worth the extra costs.
