What is the better movie, Iron Man or The Dark Knight ?

Too different to compare... TDK was amazing and probably a better constructed movie, but Iron Man was all kinds of fun which is what a big summer blockbuster should be. They were my two favorite movies of the summer, just for different reasons...

However, if I had to pick one it'd be The Dark Knight.

both movies go for a completely different tone. dark knight is an epic meditation on society's woes, iron man is a fun blockbuster. i think dark knight is technically the superior film, but i probably had more fun watching iron man. plus, the acting is equally as good in both movies; robert downey jr in iron man was simply amazing, just like heath ledger in TDK, and i loved gwyneth paltrow in iron man as much as gary oldman in TDK. ithink people tend to prefer TDK because it is more weighty and to be fair, it has far more 'great' moments and scenes, but i think iron man is almost as good, even tho it is more disposable

The Dark Knight is the "GodFather" of all super-hero movies and I don't even consider it a super-hero movie because it really explores the real world and real people, that's why I think it is at par with Iron-Man and as for the technical things are considered, you cannot have a better villain than Joker which made this movie a blockbuster and a director like Chris Nolan who has really changed things forever.

The Dark Knight, definitely.

Ok, they could of made it a bit better by getting a better character to play Rachel (the main girl) as she led a bit of a drag on the film.

But let me just say, Heath Ledgers performance was amazing. He had me on the edge of my seat. The Batman in the film was great too, although his voice was a bit too deep lol.

But Heath's performance was crazily great. He made the film himself, and no one can ever top it. He owned the Joker.
