  1. better food, better service and people behave in the resturant.

  2. There aren't that many places in the world where you can get really cutting edge cuisine with exceptional service and atmosphere.  There's something very nice about being served by real professionals.  You rarely have to deal with messed up orders or rude staff and you're pretty much guaranteed that the food is going to be delicious.  For those that truly understand and appreciate food, you can't put a price on that.

  3. These expensive type restaurants usually make their own menus and own food from scratch. Nothing comes prepackaged and everything is made on site. Also, the owner or head Chef may be famous and be known to work there. Another thing is the setting, it is very adult and children are sometimes banned.

  4. fine food ,fine living for us fine people

to enjoy life and top notch dining

  5. folks just being all pompous a$$es.  overpriced and it really doesn't taste all that great.  gimme a steak that's rare enough to still have a pulse from the corner diner.

  6. I think that the big deal is that most people can't do it every day or even every week, so it's a special occasion, kinda like the senior prom.  The person paying is telling the other people at their table that they are special to him/her.  For one night, you can feel like you're important or semi-rich.  Movie stars used to do it all the time.  I don't think they still do it now.

  7. JUST TO BE SEEN AND IMPRESS OTHER PEOPLE!!!
