I went to watch the Brisbane v Port Adelaide game on Saturday night and the Lions were 6 goals down at 3/4 time and came back to level the game but freaking Port Adelaide won by 7 pts.

So my question is...what is the biggest 3/4 comeback in history and if the Lions did pull it off, would it have been the biggest comeback???

  1. West Coast vs Geelong last year, where WCE was down by 5 goals at 3/4 time and came back to win by 3 points.

  2. Gabba 1995 - Hawthorn were beating Brisbane by 45pts at 3/4 time. Brisbane won the game by 7 pts.

That season Hawthorn went onto to miss the Finals for the first time in 14 years whilst Brisbane (Bears) made the Finals for the first time.

  3. There was another victory by Hawthorn in either the late 80's or early 90's against St. Kilda at Waverly. That was when the Hawks first did the HAWK WALK linked arm in arm together. If memory serves me correct I think Spider was still playing for the Saints.

  4. your game not even close

hawthorn in the 80s came from behind from 55pts against geelong at princess park

  5. i remember flaimn tigers came back from 42 points down against the blues rnd 22 1996 to knock carlton off and knock them out of the final eight. i remember this as i watched it and kernahan going off his **** at evryone, i think it might have been his last game?!!! someone big retired that year anyway. i think that might have started the blues's downfall in which we still seem to be suffering from.
