I think one called Beefsteak is the biggest and taste really good for it's size. The tastiest of any size tomato I think is the Bonnie Best heirloom.

I have always found big isn't best when it comes to tomatoes. For best flavour, you can't beat cherry tomatoes, or for a bigger one, Grosse Lisse.

The Cherokee Black! It's an heirloom variety that is actually purple on the outside and reddish on the inside with black seeds. Juicy too! My next favorite is an old variety called Mr. Stripey. It's orange with little red stripes down it. Very, very good.
