What is the biggest gun?

What is the biggest hand-held gun that can use armor piercing rounds? And what's the gun that gives the biggest kick (does the most damage)?

rifle? the m109 sniper rifle

pistol? anything that shoots a .50 magnum. desert eagle, S&W .500, and the H&K Mk. 23 kicks ***. but not quite as much punch as the other 2

The largest common commercial rifle is definitely the .50 BMG and there are definitely AP rounds produced for it.  In handguns, there are rifle caliber handguns such as the Desert Eagle BFR chambered in .45-70.   These are still relatively reasonably priced relatively mass produced  handguns and not custom-only novelties.
