  1. i can tell ya i've won about 60-70 ribbions when i did show, most between 1-4th.  i never did win any big titles, but by the time i was 13 i realized if i wanted to win i'd have to have a real show horse, instead of lessons horses that i liked.

i was at a show, walking round their barns and found a show horse for sale, my trainer said i could go ask to see it only if i rode correctly/did my best b/c she didnt want me looking bad on the horse infront of the owners. i did my best and the horse and me looked really good together. we bought him, brought him home, and did the vet check. he was off in his hind feet and would never really be a true winner with his conformation/lack of tracking.

so after that i decided to give showing a break, heart broken over getting attached to the horse then having to send him back was a real bite and a half. turns out i'm still on my break from showing with no real titles won, but it was fun while i was showing.

i dunno if i exactly answered your question the right way, but i tried. lol just like showing, i tried.

  2. Having competed in showing, dressage and ode's for many years, I'd won heaps of events and champions. But best memories are of me first time jumping a gate, rather than opening it on my little 12.2 hh grey welsh mountain. Those are the winning memories.

A boy I instructed when he was 10 years old, competed in SJ at the last Olympics - that was neat to see.

And my precious daughter - we make a great team, she has won so many title classes this year, and rider classes, cups etc in age groups 3 years her senior. So it takes one life to learn a lot of it, then you need another to use all the knowledge!! I feel so lucky to have a daughter interested

  5. took 2nd place out of 3200 other team ropers.....it was great...

  6. i haven't actually "won" because it doesn't really work that way in western gaming. i guess you are considered the "winner to those who win 1st, but yeah. it is placed to tenth place in summer, and placed to 6th in winter... due to size of classes in each season. i just started last year, and in the summer i got 9th and could choose between a prize or 45 bucks. i chose the prize... a monogrammed halter... it is really nice and definitely not a cheap kind. in the winter i got 4th and they only give out money in the winter, so i got 45 bucks. i could've gotten 3rd if i had just 5 more points. right now in the 2008 summer series, i'm in 4th. we had a particularly amazing first summer show.

the only first i've gotten was on one pattern, keg, with a 12.9. that's a hard one for most people.

  7. I have only ever done small shows and done really well in them. Mainly jumping and showing but my horse when she was in her hay day jumped at Hickstead! Very talented little missy.

  8. well i dont have a horse but at my riding schools gymkanna
