  1. Maboonkrong

  2. Central World Departmet Store

  3. Siam Paragon has more retail floor space than either Pantip or MBK (according to the management of Siam Paragon).  There are several places that do seem larger to me- one of which is Fortune City.  There are multiple Pantips in Bangkok.

That said... there is one that stands above the rest.

    CentralWorld

CentralWorld has an enclosed area of just over 830,000 sq metres, and retail space in excess of 550,000 metres, making it not just the largest in Bangkok, but the largest in SE Asia.

I will try to find a link and post it for you.

    EDIT: Here's the link...

  4. Chatuchak Market- Overflowing with souvenirs, food, clothes, art... It’s a great experience even for non-shoppers, and really easy to get to on the Skytrain. Open on weekends only. Next to BTS Mochit station. Very interesting, but it can be very hot and crowded.

Suan-Lum Night Bazaar- Similar to Chatuchak Market with souvenirs, local food and beer. Open daily from late afternoon until midnight. Next to MRT Lumphini station, Great place to eat and hang out in at night.

Siam Paragon- A upmarket mega mall with a department store and many high end boutiques and shops. This is a family destination with something for everyone - Siam Ocean World at the basement should keep the kids busy while the serious shopper is at work. Exit at BTS Siam Station which leads to level 2 of this mall. Connected with other shopping mall : Discovery, Siam Centre and MBK. So if you want to have some serious shopping, this is the perfect place.

Siam Square- Just opposite Siam Centre, start with Soi 5 end with Soi 2. Endless little shops of local designers. Goodies sold from great dresses to vintage bags. Shopping heaven for a budget!

Mah Boon Krong - MBK- A popular mall with hundreds of small shops offering low to mid priced casualwear, shoes, bags, mobile phones etc. etc. Linked to BTS National Stadium Station, or a short walk from BTS Siam Station.

    Try http://www.discovery-thailand.com for Thailand information.

  5. There are several of those. If you are looking for Cd's,computer or technology stuffs go to Pun-tip Plaza.

Shopping for wholesales clothing Platinum Pratunam.

General shopping mall - MBK Maboonkrong- Siam square(It's connecting to each other.

Central mall ( have many branches).

    :)

  6. Mah Boon Krong (MBK)!!!

  7. Well according to World's Largest Shopping Malls

Central World Plaza Bangkok, Thailand (13th largest in world, this week)

    built 2006

    GLA 2.6-million square feet

    GLA (244,000) sq meters

    500+ stores

21-screen cinemas, bowling lanes, and restaurants; also a convention center (not included in the GLA). Official site: http://www.centralworld.co.th/

    Second is

    Siam Paragon Bangkok, Thailand

    built 2005

    GLA 2.6-million square feet

    GLA (230,000) sq meters

    Official site: http://www.siamparagon.co.th/

    GLA: Gross Leaseable Area

  8. Technically the biggest is Central World. But in this case bigger doesn't necessarily mean better. I prefer Siam Paragon and MBK (for designer brands and regarding the latter for cheaper stuff). But they're all walking distance to each other so at least you can check them all out in one go (if shopping is your thing).

    Cheers.

  9. You will see a review of shopping in Bangkok at the shopping tab at;
