I think to RE-marry at all.

If they couldn't get it right the first time what makes them think they can get it right now.

Divorced people usualy BLAME the ex for ALL the problem instead of taking responsibilty for at LEAST half of it.

They tend to put their fears from a previous marriage into this marriage.  By doing so they have already tainted the relationship and put up some walls without even realizing it.  The second thing they do is they make a pact to not fight as much and thus they forget to communicate as well as they should and avoid talking about the hard things that are important.
