What is the black mark on Terri Walsh's right shoulder?

Is it like a shoulder support of some sort? It looks too dark to be a tattoo.

That is tape to support her shoulder because of her recent surgery.

she had a surgery on her sholder a couple of months ago , the tape is just to kind keep the shoulder in place and give the muscles a little support

Kerri Walsh (Kerri, not Terri) had shoulder surgery because of a chronic pain in her shoulder.  The pain has bothered her for a while, and she and Misty took a month or so off of tournaments to get her shoulder fixed up before the Olympics.  She's wearing tape on it to reduce movement and keep it from moving too much in the joint.
