  1. a non diabetic sugar can range between 89 to lets say 140, but 140 is border line... usually between 95 to 125 is great.

  2. What are normal blood sugar levels? Fasting (blood sugar level after not eating for 8 hours) blood sugar should be between 70 milligrams per deciliter to 100 mg/dL. Your blood sugar should not be above 100 at any given time; If it is, this suggests a pre-diabetes condition. A level of 100 - 199 suggests pre diabetes. A level over 200 suggests that you have either Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes.

  3. if you are not a diabetic it should not matter.  How would you measure your blood glucose level anyway?

  4. Visit my blog site an print off the Blood Glucose Level Chart. The chart relates the HbA1C and daily finger prick test results. The chart converts USA and Canadian results. The complete range of results is displayed.

Study the chart and arm yourself

  5. People measure blood sugar with a meter made for doing that. Many people have family members of friends who have those.  It matters because blood sugar (blood glucose) levels can affect health, resistance to disease, muscular weakness and if a person keeps theirs real high by eating a lot of sweets, pop, and junk, they increase their likelihood of developing type 2 disbetes.  Normal blood sugar range is 90-120 when the person has not just eaten recently and even after sweets would not normally be over 200.  If yours ever reads much higher than that like 250 or more drink some water and go to the bathroom and test again in 15-20 min and if it is still high make an appointment to talk with your doctor.

  6. well in ml/mol (Which is used in Australia, New Zealand etc) it will always be between 4.5 - 7ml/mol

  7. Normal range for ALL people, diabetic or not, male or female, old or young, is 80-120 (5-6 ml/mol).

BUT  . . . that number depends on WHEN, WHAT, and HOW MUCH you ate.

Generay speaking. blood sugars should be NORMAL after 90-120 minutes after eating, but If you had a high sugar meals (like ice cream) the numbers might be higher than normal.

Due to all the confusion and mis-information, non-diabetics shouldn't be taking their own blood sugar measurements.
