  1. It is definitely solid. I have been on that ride at least 40 times, and there is no way that thing is a projection.

  2. Very cool question, I love behind the scenes at Disneyland (Back Stage), Last year l was able to get a tour of a couple rides, Indiana Jones was on of them. The big bolder is Fiberglass and actually is on a giant arm the moves forward and backwards. It's really quite amazing. During the tour the lights were on and you get to see quite a bit you cannot see during the ride. When the lights were on it looks like a movie set, behind all the walls are just framing work, wires, cables, Lights and hydraulic and air lines along with HVAC. During the tour it was pointed out to us that the Dinosaur ride in the Animal Kingdom at WDW is exactly the same track layout and same indoor building.(crazy huh?).

I hope this gave you some insight and what you were looking for, Have fun next time you ride.....

Oh, the Tower of terror in The Disney Studios, Formerly MGM studios at WDW is a one of a kind, it has multiple floors on which your car rides through different scenes of the story and then boards the four elevators for a few drops, well this was to expensive to replicate so Disney just has the elevators on the rest of the Tower of terror rides in California, Tokyo , Paris and China. That Bummed me out, although they are still fun.....

During my last visit to Disneyland in January, We had dinner at Club 33 and got a peak into the new Dream suite, It was so beautiful even though it still had two weeks of construction until it would be finished..... I Love Disneyland..... :)
