It is about the thirteen- year relationship between the author and his dog- by the name of Marley, an uncontrollable labrador retriever which wreaks havoc and turns his owners' life upside down. The author and his wife even attribute his bad behavior to mental illness at some point, but they love the dog and he proves to be a nice, true and loving companion to his very last day.

It's about a dog a couple bought as a puppy and found it to be a totally unruly but lovable beast. It's really a great book, especially so if you like dogs.
