What is the [busybox] prompt in linux?

Question

After installing gOS linux 3.0, and I try to start up, it just boots to a [busybox] prompt, I have no idea what this is.

Is there any command I can type in at the [busybox] prompt to try to get the GUI desktop to load?

Try this command (assuming you're logged in):

startx

I'm not really familiar with that particular distro but who knows, it might work...
