  1. A VGA cable, or (better) HDMI or DVI cable, if the PC and TV both have the relevant connectors on them.

If the PC has a DVI output, but the TV only has a HDMI input, you can purchase a DVI to HDMI cable.

If the TV doesn't have VGA, DVI, or HDMI connectors on it, you can at a pinch use Composite Video (yellow connector) or S-Video (mini DIN), provided your PC has a "tv out" feature. However, these options will NOT produce a high quality image on the TV. It may be OK for watching standard def DVDs, but not for watching high def video or using office apps and surfing the web.

  2. This will depend on the connectors available on both units. Standard VGA is good. DVI is better. S-video is better yet! You can buy any combination of those. Best to you! ;-)=

  3. standard VGA cable.

  4. It all depends on the type of video card your pc or laptop has and input and out puts.

    Most LCD's use standard VGA

Newer models will use DVI or HDMI as they are both Digital standards

Also S-Video, DVI and HDMI being he best, VGA offers high definition just as dvi or hdmi but vga is analog.
