Ankara. A lot of people think it is Istanbul but it is not. Here is the quick history behind it. Istanbul,Izmir and Ankara are the biggest cities in Turkey. When they were picking a capital city for Turkey they thinked of it, Istanbul&Izmir was not safe because soldiers were attacking it so they decided to pick Ankara because it was safe. Now a days Ankara still is safer than Izmir and Istanbul.
