  1. the planet is very slowly tilting

  2. While there is mounting questionable evidence that Carbon Dioxide (CO2) emissions may be the cause of global warming, the fact that the world's forrests are being cut down, which previously consumed the CO2, doesn't help.  However, I will not deny that the CO2 is a problem, the oceans are becoming too acidic to support life, Mars is also suffering a rise in its atmospheric temeratures.  This could indicate that the actual warming problem could be caused by the Sun.  The excess CO2 could be resolved by replacing the rain forrests.

  3. it's because i left my gas fire on all night

  4. There isn't one cause, there are several contributing factors. Its normal for the temp to fluctuate between warm and ice age.

The problem is that what we are doing is speeding up the process. Methane and C02 both contribute to global warming. Try the New Scientist website; they're so fed up with false info being spread that they've started a new forum about the problem.

children should do more hw or teachers will be hot

  8. Go and rent "An Inconvenient Truth" it explains everything!

  9. Some gases ("greenhouse gases") let sunlight in, which warms the Earth, and then block that heat from leaving. That's the "greenhouse effect", and it's a natural thing, mostly caused by water vapor.

Man is making excessive amounts of greenhouse gases, mostly by burning fossil fuels. That causes the delicate natural balance to go out of whack and the Earth warms. That's global warming.

It won't be a Hollywood style disaster. Gradually coastal areas will flood and agriculture will be damaged. But it will be very bad. Rich countries will cope, but it will take huge amounts of money. In poor countries many people will die of starvation, but not all of them.

Most scientists say, in 20-50 years. But we need to start right now to fix it, fixing it will take even longer than that.

"A Channel 4 documentary claimed that climate change was a conspiratorial lie. But an analysis of the evidence it used shows the film was riddled with distortions and errors."
