Folks---- SOHO was launched in 1995!! not the 1970s-------- we only have about 10-11 years of data from this satellite --- far to little to use reliably.

Firestar-- your article reads like a "disaster movie" such as say------- The Towering Inferno. It's amazing --- GW even if true will not happen like a Hollywood movie--- the changes will be very slow in coming............. where do people get these ideas? I guess inside our wonderful school system.

The scientist he mentions is not regarded as credible by the scientific community his theories are based on little to do with science and the 'Pulkovo Observatory" he heads is a museum that hasn't done serious science since the end of the space race in the late early 70's

The SOHO spacecraft which has monitored the Sun since the late seventies has shown no increase in solar output other than the normal solar cycles which is only a tiny and regular change which scientist are well aware of. You don't have to believe me google SOHO solar observatory.

SOHO was indeed launched in 1995 but as most of the observed warming has happened in the last 30 years and the Sun has been monitored by a number of satellites over that period

my point is still there, there has been no observed increase in solar output, which is why Abdusamatov's theory is dismissed by the scientific community if you read all of jello's link story even it states this.

Earth has passed through different ace ages even before and that came as a result of the global warmings where the CO2 level in the atmosphere was high but that was a nature process. The main cause for a global warming to happen is the CO2 level in the atmosphere. Now days with the industrialization  the human is the main factor of the global warming. If you calculate the CO2 level now days with the CO2 levels in different stages before any of the ice ages the numbers are extremely higher. This might lead to a wilder catastrophic impact on planet  earth. Its not a balanced situation anymore, not a normal natural reaction. It is the human factor and its up to us to control this before is to late
