    however, after Saint Patrik, many people adopted the cross!

  3. I don't think there is a definitive symbol for hope and faith. In the Celtic Christian Church it would probably be the cross. In folklore there are many plants and shrubs which represent this aspect.

    The Dog Rose or Wild Rose is symbolic of hope, faith and devotion. This has been used in both the Christian and Pagan traditions and you will often see the 5 petaled Rose in stained glass windows and other patterns still, in churches.
