Question:

What is the chance I will become pregnant?

The condom broke while my boyfriend and I were having s*x. I am very worried of my chance of becoming pregnant. By the time we had s*x the last day of my period was four days ago. I know there is always a chance of becoming pregnant, but is it more unlikely because of this? Was I ovulating at the time?

  1. wait to see if you miss your next period and if you do , go see your doctor cause you never know it might not just be pregnancy if the comdom broke

  2. u should have gone to the docter straight away & asked for a morning after pill.if u r always 4 or 5 days up or down then no problem if not then wait for atleast 7 days then go for a blood test.

  3. the chance is small but still possible, women usually ovulate about 14 days after their last period

  4. Dear "Will I become pregnant",

I know something like this can be very traumatizing for some people. According to you, you were already 9 days into your cycle (5 days of period plus 4 days off of it), it's a little less likely that you would become pregnant. To get more of an understanding on how your cycle works, I would recommend making yourself an ovulation calendar and reading up on how ovulation works. You can find a free calendar maker at this web address: http://www.ovulation-calendar.net/ and you can read more about how the process of ovulation and pregnancy work at http://www.americanpregnancy.org/getting...

I hope these help you to understand the processes at work in your body. I would suggest the next time you and your bf get in a romantic mood to use a condom and perhaps a water based spermicide jelly or spermicidal foam as a back up just in case another condom should break. Or perhaps you could start wearing a diaphragm along with the condom and jelly. Here is a site you can find info on the diaphragm: http://www.pamf.org/teen/s*x/birthcontro...

Be careful and best of luck.

  5. you ovulate 14 days from the first day of your period

  6. go to the doctors and don't ask on a forum - ask a pro

  7. ANY TIME you have s*x, no matter where in your cycle you are or what type of method you use, you can become pregnant.

The ONLY 100 per cent effective method is abstinence.
