Fiji has won many IRB matches overseas.

fiji has a very good squad when it comes to rugby sevens..i was there last year in melbourne commonwealth games as they lost in the semifinal stage..but it was just unlucky..they played much better in the 3rd 4th placing..where they beat australia comfortablely..so i reckon they have a big chance in beating NZ..

Fiji has some problems and South Africa and New Zealand already have a leg up, so I do not think this will be there year, but who knows a win in San Fran could change all that.
