  1. Tell your doctor that the therapy isn't producing the results you would like and tell him/her that you would like to try anti-depressants. Depression is a chemical imbalance in your brain and sometimes you need to correct the imbalance with medication before any real progress can be seen.

    Good Luck.

  2. 15? Same as me =) Then, unfortunately, unlikely. I haven't been feeling great either (my referral to the psychiatrist was only sent at the beginning of the month, though), but I was told when I made my original appointment that anti-depressants are unlikely to be prescribed for a few reasons.

    1. You can get addicted to them, and so it could create a larger problem.

    2. Being a teenager, your body is changing. And so having to change prescriptions just to match your body could have disastrous effects.

I'll warn against it, but I know from experience that when you need something, nothing nor nobody can stop you.

    Hope that helps =)

  3. Usually a Psychologist or Counselor does "Therapy". A Psychiatrist is an actual Medical Doctor and does precribe anti-depressants, among many other things. I suspect you have been seeing a psychologist. You should see a Psychiatrist if you think you need medication.
