  1. 100% if you shoot yourself.

  2. No better or worse than getting shot in Detroit, but hey, don't listen to me, I took a round to the shoulder in Fallujah, right where the IBA stops.  I won't lie, it hurt, but i'm still here, i would worry more about IED's.

  3. no offence pal, but if your afraid of simply taking a bullet then you may want to consider no joining at all. You have to accept that in any branch you put yourself in harms way and possibly within the reach of death.

But... i understand that its a small fear which is no big deal, as long as thats not keeping you from joining. Im going to go into security forces or pilot, and i am fuly aware that there may be a chance where i can engage an enemy and possibly loose a limb, or even my life, but think of this way....

    "hey how did you die?"

    "Car crash =["

    "Fire ants =["

    "slipped and fell"

    then you

"How did i die? I DIED IN THE MILTARY, d**n RPG CAME STRAIGHT AT ME!"

    "HOLY S***!!!"

  4. THEN JOIN THE NAVY, WE DONT NEED YOUR KIND IN OUR RANKS.

  5. Lower than the chance of getting shot walking through East Los Angeles.

  6. Less than when walking through the ghetto in any large city.

    Vet-USAF

  7. If you aren't prepared or willing to take a bullet for your country and it's cause, don't join the army. I don't know why you are even considering it.

  8. 2 out of 47,0000 army men and women

  9. By your question, I seriously doubt if you would have to worry about being shot by the enemy. Friendly Fire, my patriotic young friend, should be your utmost fear.

  10. Slim actually. But I'm not gonna sugar coat it for you. You have more chances of getting blown up by an IED than shot. This isnt WWII. You dont bust out of a Higgins boat and charge the beaches anymore. Those days are over.

  11. dam good if you plan to be a snipper i am retired 20 years Army SF  and i took 3 hard hits those last 5 years it can happen if your not willing to take the chance stay out of it.If i could go back i know i would have not done the things i done

  12. Higher than if you weren't in the army.

  13. Figure on stepping out of cars or boats a lot in the Army do you? Stay alert, stay alive.
