  1. go with inktown's answer.

  2. Are you in FL bc if so i can recommend a great place to get everything you need and its cheap and they replace subs or you amp if you blow em for like free lol

  3. do you want one sub or two you did not say that? alpine e type are good and economical subs.  match that up with a alpine mono channel or dual channel amp or any other decent brand. that is, dont buy polka, spitfire, those type of brand names. i hope this helps.

  4. i would recommend going with some kickers..... but here is what you need to look for

as long as the company is CEA-compliant they are good, it means that the amp makes or exceeds the advertised wattage with minimum distortion and the subs can handle the advertised RMS wattage also

here is a nice entry level setup

two of these http://www.hifisoundconnection.com/Shop/... on this amp http://www.hifisoundconnection.com/Shop/...

here are the top CEA-compliant brands

    Alpine (highly recommend)

    Bazooka (don't like their subs)

    Blaupunkt (don't like their subs)

    Clarion

    Eclipse

    Infinity (highly recommend)

    JBL

JL Audio (very good but over priced)

    Kenwood (don't like their subs)

Kicker (the best in my opinion)

    MTX (highly recommend)

    Pioneer

    Polk Audio (highly recommend)

    Rockford Fosgate (highly recommend)

    Sony (don't like their subs)
