first try www.orbitz.com or www.cheaptickets.com but orbitz is normally cheaper at least then you can put in the dates you want and be able to see it with tax and times you want to fly :) customize it alil!

Right now the cheapest roundtrip is midweek with advance purchase on Airtran, $251 r/t total with all taxes and fees.  Continental is next-cheapest currently at $258 r/t total.  Try your travel dates with http://www.bookingbuddy.com because it hunts hundreds of sources all in 1 go for you, with no additional booking fee.

American Airlines currently don't fly MDW-CLT routes.  For American, you'd need to depart from O'Hare.  They're $237 r/t total and it's a nonstop flight.  (Flights from MDW to CLT connect).
