  1. www.ryanair.com

I dont think anyone who flew on Ryanair had to pay over £500.

    This website is great!

  2. http://www.ryanair.com some promo fares for 1 penny including all taxes and fees.

  3. For cheap airfares check

  4. I have always found Southwest to be on average the cheapest most of the time. Jet Blue has them beat on coast to coast flights most of the time.

Across the pond I would have to agree Ryan Air has the cheapest fares, followed by Easy jet.

  5. Depends on where you are going, how long you are staying, when you are going (time of the year, day of the week, time of the day) and when you book the flight.

The airlines change their fares daily (even hourly), depending on how many seats they have to fill.  So no airline is always the cheapest.  They change their rates to compete with other airlines.  I seldom use the same airline twice in a row, because I shop around for airfare each time I travel, and I've found that the best price each time is seldom with the airline I used last time.

As a travel agent, I watch airfare rates all day long.  If your schedule is flexible, you can save money by traveling during slow times, when others aren't traveling. You also can save money by taking connecting flights, but I prefer non-stop flights.

If you do a little work, you can find flights for half the price (or less) than the person sitting next to you on the plane.

The best way to save money on airfare is to contact a GOOD travel agent (one that will search for cheap flights that meet your needs rather than just sell you the first ticket they find).  Although travel agencies charge a small fee for their services, they can save you money by finding the best deal on airfare.

You also can use one of the internet airfare locators, such as Priceline, Travelocity, etc.  BUT BE CAREFUL WHEN USING THOSE SITES.  Once you book a flight, you usually are locked into it.  They don't allow changes easily or cheaply.  And I've experienced many horror stories about inexperienced travelers booking their own flights, hotels, ground transportation, etc, and finding out too late that they did it wrong.

I am not "pushing" you to use travel agencies, but they usually can save you money (and time) because they know how to find the best deals on travel.

If you expect to travel a lot, shop around for a GOOD travel agent the same way you would for a GOOD doctor or GOOD auto mechanic.  And once you find a GOOD one, don't let them go.
