i don't need the best brand just a decent one at a good price thanks

Yes I have a 42" Vizio and am completely happy with it. So does my daughter and her family, they've had it for over 6 months and not one problem.

Vizio is a decent brand. My dad has the 37" vizio, and so far no problems and he likes it. Kinda looks cool also. Some other brands that are lesser known but will get you better deals on are Insignia (solely bestbuy) and Westinghouse. Bestbuy currently has their 47" Westinghouse on sale for $1200, which is a ridiculous deal.

i wouldnt buy a vizio in a million years. their a new company first off. so who knows how long the tv's last. they make their tvs from cheap sony parts. they have a so so picture, but their cheap. would you go buy a car off a brand new car company? or would you buy a car whos company has a reputation for reliable cars?

obviously you dont care about how good the picture is. the more you spend the nicer picture. the cheapest good built tv's with atleast a decent picture is Philips. also try looking at samsun, sharp, and toshiba for sales.
