First off check out BMW.USA to find your local BWM dealership and to build the BMW you want.  The cheapest BMW is the i28 coupe that has a 3.0-liter, inline 6-cylinder engine and rear-wheel drive.  When I logged into my account...the starting price was $28,600.  If you choose a non-metallic color for the exterier of your car, there is no charge.  If you opt for an exterier metallic color, add $550 to the base cost.  Interier- leather will cost $1,450 and for leatherette there is no charge.  You can opt for trim that will cost you and addition $500 to nothing at all....just depends on what you want.

Then you select the package for your car which starts at $750 (cold weather) to $1300 (sport package) to the top...Premium $3700.

Depending on the options and accessories that you select will increase the cost of your BMW.  I would suggest playing around on the site to figure out exactly what you want and figure out what you can afford to spend.  You can always look into leasing, purchasing a certified pre-owned BMW, or purchasing a new BMW all together.

The 1 Series which starts around 28k. Thats lousy considering that new 325i sedans used to start at 26.8k only 3 years ago!

In USA (don't know where you are) it would be the 128i no options at $28,600.

Compare that to the most expensive 760Li at almost $100,000 more.

the cheapest car that BMW currently sells in the USA is the BMW 128i... it starts at around 28,700 USD, and comes with a 230 horsepower inline 6 engine. it comes standard with power moonroof, ipod/AUX jack, multifunction leather wrapped steering wheel and many other luxury options. it gets 19 MPG city/ 28 MPG highway, search BMWUSA.com

BMW doesn't make a "cheap" car, but their least expensive is the 128i. Not on a lease though, the 328i sedan has the best lease right now.
