Question:

What is the cheapest grocery store to shop at in the Minneapolis area?

I'm new to the area & i can't seem to decide between Rainbow Or Cub foods. What do you guys think? I'd really appreciate it.

  1. First of all, welcome to the area! :) I'm in St. Paul. :)

    Deciding between Rainbow and Cub, I think you'll generally spend roughly the same amount in the long run at either place, though Rainbow's sales are usually better than Cub's. But Cub has some selections of things that you can't always find at other places and really good prices on bulk items if you shop long-term.

    The very best prices, hands down, is at Aldi, though. I shop there and can get a cart full of food for under a hundred dollars easily. I pulled up the store locator so you can find one closest to where you live if you're interested:

    PS:

    That sounds right about Super Target. I wouldn't buy the meat there, but boxed and canned items are decently priced.
