What is the cheapest means of transportation from paris to lyon then to switzerland?

I would think the rail would be cheaper. And you get to see the country side.

the cheapest means of transportation would be to run. it would take you awhile maybe a couple of weeks or so depending on how fast you run or you could also be a hitch hiker, but that really isnt as safe anymore.

You can drive, and the scenery is beautiful if you take the alps route. Prepare your trip in advance.
