  1. There are lots of places, you can compare airfares from different airlines for the day you want to travel on http://www.kooloola.com/airfares.html so you can look for the best deal available, you may find being flexible on your departure dates can make savings, flights on one day can be different from another, the more flexible you are on dates the better.

  2. I personally use Kayak.com. However, I thoroughly search the Internet before I purchase airfare because I always want to make sure I get the best fare. For example, my latest itinerary is actually cheaper if I book two separate itineraries. That's rare, of course, but it's something you have to think about sometimes.

Either way, the reason I like www.kayak.com is because it compares airfare from numerous websites. Plus, be sure to keep the 'Sponsored' boxes checked so that you can have those websites searched, too. New windows will pop-under, but it's worth checking all of them out. The current three sponsored websites are Priceline, Expedia and Travelocity. Before someone told me about Kayak, I used to use just Priceline, Expedia and Orbitz.

Hope that helps. Be sure to look carefully at which airport you are flying out of and into (there are a lot of airports in Florida to which you can fly).

  3. Different sites have different deals.  See http://www.travelbargainsites.com for a list of cheap travel sites.  You may be able to get a further discount by haggling down the lowest going rate with Priceline or Hotwire.

  4. For OR to FL, I'd try http://www.bookingbuddy.com because it will search Kayak, Farecast, airlines direct, Cheaptickets, Orbitz, Yahoo Farechase, CheapO, etc. etc. without having to re-type your flight info over and over, and find new sites to check over and over.

  5. Try "www.farecast.com" Not only will the site check other websites for rates, but it will also let you know if it is a good time to buy.  Hope this helps.
