  1. Not sure about finding used cages online, but your basic cage without any extras at all can be bought for $15-20 at Rural King..you will have to assmble it, but it isn't that difficult. The basic hutch kit..includes feeder, dropping pan, water bottle, and a 24" x 24" pre-assembled cage is about $45 plus tax at Rural King..if you don't have a rural King in your area try a different farm implement store like TSC or Farm and Fleet. The other store's prices should be pretty close to that.

  2. if you know where to go they sell it at

    $5.99 or $9.99

    not so much money

  3. off the streets

  4. if you cant find them for a decent price on craigslist, try ebay.

  5. if youre adopting the bunny whats your friend gonna do with the dcage 0-o?  why cant she juist give you it?

  6. go to craigslist.org or check your local newspaper. I've seen them go for as little as $10

  7. Trust me, the price of a rabbit longterm is going to be way more expensive than a decent cage.  If you can't afford a cage then you can't afford a pet, my rabbit recently had a respiratory infection and the vet bill was just under $100.  That's cheap compared to what can happen.  Plus, you'll likely have to spay/neuter the rabbit which will be over $100.

You don't want a small cage for a rabbit, you want the rabbit to be able to run around and stretch out.  In all likelihood your rabbit will be spending most of the day in the cage, aside from the minimum of 3 hours of out of cage time.  I have a cage built out of shelving cubes, it's easy to clean and was fairly cheap to build.  It's also huge and gives my rabbits tons of room.

  8. You can sometimes find them FREE on Craigslist.com.

  9. check newspaper, garage sales, or even the local animal shelter might have one for sale cheap..

why isnt your friend giving you the cage the bunny is already in?

DO NOT get a "SMALL" cage.. you need to get as big of a cage as you can.. remember that poor animal is going to be stuck in the cage for a lot of time every day.. how boring..

if you cannot afford a decent size cage - dont get a pet..

maybe get some odd jobs to make more money...
