  1. no buy popov vodka.. its great!

  2. maybe you should spend your money on idiots guide to martinis.... and yes there is one

  3. Cheapest vodkas are basically tasteless triple rectified spirits... in a way, they are better for the way you do it than more premium stuff, as you can be sure it won't interfere with the other ingredients.

Your concerns over cheap booze and drinkability might be justified if you were interested in flavored vodkas like Zubrowka, or were a gin martini man... with vodka, there's no problem, even the worst ones become drinkable when chilled enough.

  4. Smirnoff is surprisingly drinkable for its price, I'd go with that.

  5. stolichnaya, smirnoff red or absolut?

  6. buy 1 bottle of expensive and 1 bottle of cheap, mix 1/2 of 1 with 1/2 of the other, it turns out cheaper for you ,and no one knows

  7. recent 'blind' taste tests showed that Smirnoff beat out Grey Goose, Stoli, Ketel One and other top-shelf vodkas. Popov is good-n-cheap, so why not try it?

I still will choose Ketel One, but that's just me.
