  1. You can get a USB dongle from Three which plugs into your laptop of PC.

    This is a tenner a month.


  2. If you have a cell phone already and have a data plan, see if your carrier allows you to use it as a modem.  You will need either a special cable or a bluetooth-enabled phone and computer.  This may depend on your plan, and even if you are not allowed many people have found that with only casual use your carrier wont be any wiser.

  3. I use Virgin broadband. I dont have to have a phoneline or Virgin TV. It costs £10.00 per month (for 2mb speed which is quick enough!). You have to live in a 'cabled area' to be able to get it. I looked at a few but this was the only one that i could find that didnt require you to pay for a phoneline aswell. If you call them they will be able to tell you straight away if its possible in your area.
