What is the cheapest way from Sydney to Guangzhou return?

I need an international airline.

Example: Chinese, Malaysian, Singaporean Airline

Two ways,

1. China Southern airlines fly direct to Guangzhou from Sydney but only 3 days a week. They are the only direct airlines that fly into that region

or

2. Fly to Hong Kong and get the train to Guangzhou, it normally takes 2 hours.

fly to macau then go to guangzhou by coach~  this is the cheapest way i'm sure~

       sydney to macau's air tickets r sometimes 50 % or more off!~    i've heard there was a time just cost 100 aus!!!!!  

   but maybe you won't have the air dishes
