What is the cheapest way of getting to Paris from Birmingham UK? I've heard that getting a ferry is cheaper than the eurostar is that true? I will be going in late August.

Merci d'avance :-)

  3. I think train

  4. Hi,

Have a look at this site http://www.seat61.com/France.htm it looks like if you get an advance booking on the eurostar it's a similar price to a ferry (and quicker) also to get the good price you need to book a return trip.

    Cheers

  5. Eurostar's about 60£ if you book in advance. Easyjet from Luton Airport to Paris is only 25£, also booked in advance. About 15£ for a bus there from Birmingham via National Express. Depends whether 20£ is worth the hassle of going to the airport.

Unless you're bringing a car, there's no point in taking the ferry.

  6. Yes, a ferry is cheaper. But, a ferry only gets you over the English Channel. The Eurostar takes you all the way to Paris.
