This is in the guest bedroom and we have a guest coming over for a month. it already has standard white plastic blinds but still the room stays too bright and warm in summers. I was looking for some solution which is cheap, easy to install and also removable, that way we can make our guest more comfortable and undo it once they are gone.

  1. a piece of plywood cut to fit the window with aluminum foil facing the window with a decorative fabric of your choice to match the decor of the room facing the room. Put a nail on the window, and one of those metal picture mount things on the aluminum/wood/fabric thing. Super easy, just hang it up and take it down as needed!

  2. it looks bad but it works take a comforter or a really heave blanket & tape, nail, thumb tack or just tuck behind the window screen. it does work.

  3. not sure

  4. I got Venetian blinds from Home Depot for my sons room and they are all of the things you are looking for ( they are a dark colored wood) . Or you could buy a suspension rod and hang actual curtains.

  5. i put up a black sheet over my window. . .

  6. Well, what I did for my guest bedroom that also had the sun shining in so bright was put foil on the window...it not only reflected the sun, but also made it darker in the room...if you feel it might be too dark...put newspapers up or construction paper.
