  1. Walk?

  2. Get some cheap airflights on like jetstar.com or virginblue.co.au

  3. Many people bike around Australia . But travelling Australia by car is not cheap as fuel prices have sky rocketed. Australia is huge but it is a trip of a life time and an amazing adventure. So a small car and a tent but be prepared to rough it a bit and be well organised

  4. BACK PACKING. Its fun. Its cheap. You get to meet heaps of awsome people. Use hostels for accomodation and you can buy a crappy little car or you can hitch rides with other backpackers to places by just putting in on some petrol money. Also if you ever get stuck anywhere you can use the grey hound bus service which is cheap and has lots of stations around australia. At hostels also they have great cheap food and most of the people at the hostels are in the same situation and want to travel cheap and some have awsome ideas. So talk to them heaps. Also theres always cash in hand jobs (especially fruit picking) around australia which backpackers are always doing if money gets tight. It's also the best way to see australia. You really get to see small towns and big cities and see how we really live. Its not like those other torists that just come and look at the sydney habour and the opera house and maybe see a few kangaroos and the hot weather and a few beaches then leave. You actually get to know the people and the place. Top way to travel. I RECCOMEND BACKPACKING IN AUSTRALIA. We have all the faciliteis for it too.
