I'll be staying in Killarney, County Kerry and I was wondering what was the cheapest way to fly from Nashville (BNA) to Ireland? Would it be cheapest to go from Nashville to NY one way and then from NY to Cork, etc

  1. you can get fights to cork or get flight to Dublin and flight to Farrenfore co Kerry then get connecting train or coach to Killarney.here are all the option open to you be it by rail, bus or plane.Farrenfore small airport but there are regular flights from Dublin and only takes 40mins

  2. Are there flights from NY to Cork? That's new. Didn't know you could fly between the US and Cork.

Go to the Aer Lingus homepage and find out. Price of flights seems to change day by day though ....

  3. On a boat!!

  4. There are no flights from U.S. to Cork - fly to Dublin or Shannon (check which is cheapest online) and then either fly to Farranfore or (more likely) hire a car - It's about a 2 hour drive from Shannon to Killarney, about 4 hours from Dublin to Killarney, about 15 mins from Farranfore to Killarney. You will find it difficult to get around Killarney without a car. You can hire a car (from Hertz, Budget or any of the other major companies) in Farranfore, Killarney or, obviously Shannon or Dublin. Enjoy your holiday.

  5. Flying to Kerry is a waste of time.  There is no international airport there so you will be flying into Dublin or Shannon.  After that figure a bus or train to Killarney if you don't want to drive there.

If you fly into Shannon you can get a bus from the airport to the main bus station in Limerick.  The bus and train station are the same location so you can take either one from there.

If you fly into Dublin take the Airlink bus outside the arrivals hall to either Bus Aras for buses or Heuston Station for a train.  Train is a little more expensive but probably more comfortable than the bus.

Once you get to Killarney though it might be a little tougher to get around without a car but I'm pretty sure there will be plenty of bus tours you could take if you wanted to.

One final thing.  The flights from the US usually get in very early so you might find yourself hanging around the bus/train station quite a while before you can get one going where you need to go.  Bring something to eat in case nothing is open and something to read, trust me.

  6. run and flap your arms up and down=cheapest

or build a packing case and go as postage

  7. I dont think there are any flights from NY to Cork.

Book a flight to Dublin, then get a train to Cork

  8. You can only fly from NY to Shannon or Dublin.  I'd go for Shannon because it's nearer to Kerry.  Or have a look at what it would cost to go from somewhere in the US to London, and then on to Cork.   It might be cheaper, I don't know.
