What is the cheapest way to get from canada to australia? I am on a very limited budget and I need the absolutely cheapest way possible to get to australia. I am currently in alberta, and I need to get to brisbane australia.

Alberta hey....I live just north of Brisbane and I am looking at going to Edmonton this Christmas...I dont think I can make it, but I have explored the travel options.

The most direct way is to get on a planein Edmonton and fly to Los Angeles. At LAX, jump on a Qantas flight to Brisbane....

Or...From Edmonton, catch a flight to Vancouver; fly to Sydney non stop with Air Canada to Sydney, then catch a third flight to Brisbane with Virgin Blue (budget airline)

they are you two best options....around $2000 one way....at peak times.

Dont book at the Air Canada website, they try to charge you $2700 for Vancouver-Sydney...go to a travel agent....they will give you the best deals!

there is a way to get plane tickets second hand, either from the airline or privately sold, but you have to be prepared to leave at the least convenient time, other than that I don't know if canada has operating budget airlines, to get a cheap ticket maybe you'll have to drive to the US or god knows where.
