  1. The train is the best way to get there.

    From Rome to Padova , it takes 4 hours on the Eurostar... You must make a reservation for this train

    You could take the Intercity train, no reservation needed, and it will take you 5 hours. It is cheaper if you have the time.

    The Intercity, 2nd class ticket costs 35.50 euros (online) I believe the fares are a little different if you purchase them at the station, but I cannot be sure.  Anyway,  this an idea

    The Eurostar, 2nd class ticket costs 51.30 euros(online)
