What is the cheapest way to get your car across the Panama Canal?

I want to go by car from Canada to Uruguay. I am concerned with the car crossing of the Panama Canal. From Panama can I send the car to Venezuela or Ecuador? Is there a Ferry to cross it from Panama to Colombia?

there is a dude that crossed it swimming, he paid 38 cents.....Just a fact...

I would recommend to find a cruise, or acutally a boat over there in PAnama

There is a bridge over the Panama Canal.  Actually there are two bridges.  You could just drive over one of them, if that's what you're asking.

**It is no problem if you are going to be "driving" it in South America, but be aware that many of the countries in South America do not allow the importation of any US vehicles. If your purpose of this trip is to move there or to give the car to someone that already lives there you need to do more research before you go.
