What is the cheapest way to sell shares?

Is there a website where i can find out how much the shares are worth? Some are really old around 1991 onwards. Is there a website which can convert shares into a price value of how much they are worth now?

I assume you have physical Share Certificates ... all Shares are now traded 'electronically' (Share Certs. are no longer issued) ... very few Brokers now accept Certs.

I'm going to guess you will have to go to your Bank .. even so they are likely to charge you £25 to process each Certificate ..

All UK shares are traded via the Stock Exchange .. enter the Company name in one of the on-line quote systems for some idea of the Share value (for example, see below)
