  1. In some cases, the bus may be cheaper (yet definitely less comfortable) than the train.

Eurolines goes from Ulm to Vienna, for example, but the journey takes the whole night. (http://www.touring.de/index.php?id=2&L=1 )

They have also bus-lines to Italy and to France running through Ulm; but those journeys can get unbelievably long - only something for the tough and young....

Their website is a nightmare when you are looking for information, but they do have a sales agent in Ulm who might be able to quote you some prices:

    Friedrich Ebert Straße 7/1 (ZOB)

    Tel.: 0731 3786510, Fax: 0731 65196

  2. Your best bet is probably by Eurorail.

Here's a link for travelling through 3-5 countries.  In your case, you are a "1st Class Saver" because you are 2 or more.

    Prices start at €270.

  3. Hi you should get a weekend ticket. It s callen wochenend ticket. Its around 25 euro should be like 33-35 dollar and it includes up to five persons. But everybody at the trainstation usually speaks good english so they can probably help you better.
