  1. You probably won't believe me but it's true.

    $2.  And that's Australian dollars!

A local club had a special once a week for lunch or dinner.

    You could have things like:

    Pie and chips

    Fish and chips

    Spaghetti Bolognaise

Chicken Snitzchel and chips or salad

I used to buy 2 at a time and eat them both myself!  One would fill the gap, two would fill me up.

  2. TGIF when  they have the 3 course meal for 12.99. You get an appetizer, entree and a dessert.  I've ordered a variety of things but I think I always have the green bean fries for appetizer. They have a select amount of items that you can combine for 12.99 but when it is busy and they run out sometimes they allow you to choose from the rest of the items on the menu. Either way everything is pretty good.  This deal comes around quite often I think.

Also local non chain restaurants around the college are usually cheap good eats.

  3. Ramon noodle soup.....19cents

  4. Sometimes I'll go to a diner and order a fried fish filet with fries and a drink, the whole thing will come out to like 7 bucks.

  5. I live in California, and there are so many family owned taquerias. They have great food and are really cheap if you factor in the amount of food you get. For instance, I'll order a super burrito, with meat, beans, cheese, salsa, sour cream, and avocado for $6.50. It'll take me two meals, at least to eat it! That's cheaper than the dollar menu (burger & fries plus tax) at any fast food for the same quantity!

  6. I'd have to guess about $7 without tip and tax.  Truck stops are the best.  A southwest omelette, hashbrowns, and toast, and a bottomless pot of coffee for about $7.  And I'd usually end up with a to-go box, meaning I had another meal the next day.  2 meals, seven bucks!

  7. Olive Garden. Soup salad breadstick meal is 6.95 each, and drinks are like 4 bucks. free if you get water. it was less than 20 bucks for us.

  8. Top Ramen noodles...8 cents a bag! At home!

  9. The cheapest I ever spent was at least 30 dollars and that was at IHOP.  Can't remember what I ordered.
