I am 17 years old and have just passed my driving test and want to insure my car.

i have a 1999 volkswagen golf gti 1.8 non turbo, does anyone one know which insurance company can offer me the cheapest

This is a very difficult question to answer - I don't think that any premium you get will be regarded as 'cheap'. Why not try a specialist young driver insurer, or a price comparison site?

It will be quite expensive since you are young.  I have a 2003 Golf GTI Turbo, and it costs me $99 per month, but I am also 24.  

It will also depend on your location.  The best thing to do would be for you to get an online insurance quote.  This will compare all companies in your area and find the company that offers you the lowest price.
