  1. the secretion is sweat

sweat is a filtrate of plasma that contains

electrolytes(such as potassium, sodium, and chloride) and metabolic wastes (like

    urea and lactic acid)

The composition of sweat can vary greatly between different people, and is influenced by emotional state, diet, exercise and a variety of hereditary factors.  For example, you may have noticed an oniony or garlicky odor on your skin after consuming those foods.

Here is a paragraph on sweat composition I copied from the online Encyclopedia

    Britanica:

The composition of sweat is similar to that of plasma except that sweat does not contain proteins. After secretion, the fluid moves through the sweat duct, where salt and water are reabsorbed. The exact mechanism of sweat secretion is not known. It appears that sweat is a filtrate of plasma that contains electrolytes(such as potassium, sodium, and chloride) and metabolic wastes (like

urea and lactic acid).Because sweat resembles a filtrate of plasma,

water-soluble chemicals, like some drugs and metal ions, are found in sweat. Sweat is not a major route of excretion of chemicals, however.

(Plasma is the liquid part of blood after the cells are removed)

    The below info from

    www.sweating.ca/sweat_glands

There are between 2 and 4 million sweat glands found across the human body. These are coiled tubular glands that are found in the dermis or lower part of the skin.

They produce a watery secretion and open on to the skin to help control body temperature and provide an emotional response to stimulus. When you sweat the moisture on your body evaporates and provides a cooling effect for the body.

There are two types of sweat glands, eccrine sweat glands and apocrine sweat glands. Both types of glands are controlled by the sympathetic nervous system, which controls many of our involuntary actions such as breathing, heartbeat and sweating.

  3. not sure what that gland is and what the name of the secretion is, but I do know that botox has been proven to help this factor.

  4. It's mostly sodium (salt) and h2o (water).

  5. There is no one answer because sweat is basically pee coming out of your skin. It is a liquid that removes the toxins from your body, so depending on what toxins are in your body, the chemical composition of your sweat changes.
