  1. They've taken all the really good paint strippers off of the market for environmental reasons mainly. I used to use "Zip-Strip", but since it contained methylene chloride, it too is gone. I'm not sure if any of the "good" strippers are still available to commercial companies, but if so, you might be able to get a small amount from one of them. If you can't do that, the only advice I can give is to go to Home Depot, Lowes, etc. and see what's still available....talk with one of the more knowledgeable sales people (if you can find one, lol) and see what works best in your given situation. As a last resort, you could use a heat gun/scraper to remove most of it, followed by sanding the door.

There are several different types available.  The commercial strippers are very toxic, and can be dangerous to work with.  The advantage to them is that they work quickly.  For the consumer, you can use the orange oil based strippers.  They take longer to penetrate, but have no harmful fumes and won't burn your skin.  Both are available at home centers or paint stores.  Hope this helps.
